Traveler's Checklist

Traveling outside of the U.S. on Dartmouth business? Use this checklist to make sure all your paperwork is completed on time.

Traveler's Checklist

  • Check Locations Lists to see if you need to apply for a Travel Exception, and if so, apply at least 30 days prior to your planned departure.

  • If you do not need an Exception or when your Exception is approved, register your travel.

  • Read through the International SOS (ISOS) reports for the locations you are traveling to. There is an updated ISOS portal – please register on the new site for access - https://myportal.internationalsos.com/  and use the Dartmouth ID  to create a new profile : (ID 11BSGC000018) when asked for affiliation.  Please note you will need to register again even if you had an account on the old ISOS site.

  • Enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) offered by the US Department of State  or with the nearest embassy or consulate of your country of citizenship at your travel locations.

  • Download the ISOS app (member ID 11BSGC000018).
