2014-2015 International Fellowship Opportunity

The Institute for Advanced Study is Durham University's leading research institute. Launched in 2006, the IAS brings together distinguished international scholars from across the disciplinary spectrum to catalyse new thinking on major annual research themes. The theme for 2014-2015 is Emergence, interpreted in its broadest sense as being applicable to events, to ideas, and to physical processes. Applications are now invited for up to 20 three-month Fellowships linked to this theme (October-December 2014 and January-March 2015). Applicants may be scholars, writers, or artists from any disciplinary or professional area, and from anywhere in the world. IAS Fellowships include travel, accommodation, an honorarium and (where appropriate) costs associated with replacement teaching or loss of salary.
