The Eyal and Marilyn Ofer Family Foundation Scholarship Fund

The Eyal and Marilyn Ofer Family Foundation Scholarship Fund was established in 2002 to support international students with demonstrated financial need who have a strong interest in the social, political, moral, and technological dimensions of international conflict and cooperation.

Through the auspices of the John Sloan Dickey Center for the Advancement of International Understanding at Dartmouth, Ofer Scholars are invited to participate in a variety of programming around war and peace.

  • First year Ofer Scholars are invited to participate in the undergraduate Great Issues Program, a selective undergraduate program that brings together students from all disciplines to engage in a variety of activities and events focused on central issues in international affairs.
  • From their second year on, Ofer Scholars will be invited to apply for the War and Peace Scholars Program, another select campus group that organizes a series of events on campus, including presentations by internationally renowned experts from the fields of diplomacy, military affairs, journalism, and other fields related to war and peace.
  • During their senior year, Ofer Scholars are invited to apply to participate in the War and Peace Studies annual trip to Washington D.C.

Interested scholars should apply to Dartmouth using the general Dartmouth Admissions application, located here. Ofer Scholars are named upon admissions to Dartmouth.
