Matariki Network Universities Gather at Uppsala for Global Citizenship Workshop

A delegation of five from Dartmouth traveled to Uppsala, Sweden to attend the Matariki Network of Universities’ Global Citizenship Workshop.  Network members institutions include Dartmouth, Durham (UK), Uppsala, Tuebingen (Germany), Queen’s (Canada), University of Otago (New Zealand), and University of Western Australia. Assistant Provost for Academic Initiatives Laurel Stavis, Dickey Center Associate Director for Programs and Research and Adjunct Professor Melody Brown Burkins (PhD ’98), and Research Associate Ronald Edsforth attended the workshop with students Freya Jamison ’17 and Victor Cabrera ’19. The three-day workshop will help advise Matariki Network leaders on potential initiatives among institutions, which may include exchanges, fellowships, and other programs.
