WHO and CDC Issue Guidelines on Zika Virus

The World Health Organization and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have issued guidelines for travelers in areas affected by the Zika Virus. The mosquito-borne disease, while relatively mild or asymptomatic in most people, has been suspected in complications among pregnant women. For those who anticipate travel to any of the affected countries and regions, precautionary measures are strongly advised.

Prior to travel, Dartmouth students should consult with Dick's House. Faculty and staff should consult with their primary care providers. More detailed information on Zika can be found on either the WHO or CDC websites.
