Faculty International Research Travel Grants

Dartmouth tenured and tenure-track faculty members may apply for up to $5,000 to support ongoing research projects requiring international travel.

Overview

Tenured and tenure-track faculty members may submit proposals for travel in Spring term 2016-17 to the Provost Office of Academic Initiatives for Faculty International Research Travel Grants. The grants of up to $5,000 each support international travel for active research activities. More than 30 faculty received grants through this program in 2015-16 for destinations ranging from Burkina Faso and Abu Dhabi to Panama and Berlin.

Awards provide reimbursement for international travel costs, accommodations and living expenses, as well as specific research activities such as visits to archives or data-gathering activities. (Travel to conferences is not support by these grants).

Up to three grants per term will be made available in 2016-2017. Applicants are limited to one Faculty International Travel grant under this program per year.
